This morning I sat down with a cuppa to read a year of Spoonie Letters. I have been feeling a little sorry for myself and my struggles with my ill health, so was in need of some support. Spoonie letters gave me hope, encouragement and a sense that there are many people in the world who understand how it feels to live with chronic illness. I thank each and every Spoonie who put pen to paper to write their letters. There were many tips on how to handle difficult days and reminders that we don't have to conform to society norms. We are special and our mental and physical health and needs must always come first, so that we may live the lives we deserve. Also, thanks to Kristina and for your lovely Spoonie Box service.
